18 foster youth made first and second honors on their report
cards.
3 foster youth successfully completed their first year at
community colleges of their choice; a 4th youth entered barber
college.
5 youth receiving Adolescent Initiative Program (AIP) life
skills training successfully entered the job market; a 6th AIP
youth received a full scholarship to a community college.
3 AIP youth successfully transitioned from a group home
setting to Tabor’s supervised independent living program.
In Bucks County 87% and in Philadelphia 92% of the family
preservation program (FPP) families remained intact; children in the remaining
families were removed from their homes to ensure safety.
Two staff from the services to children in their own homes (SCOH)
program received awards of recognition from Temple University’s Philadelphia
Outcomes and Measurements Project.
SCOH achieved a 93% success rate in maintaining intact
families.
Support from The Pew Charitable Trusts funds electronic
files (e-files) for FPP and SCOH clients, enabling Tabor and Philadelphia’s
Department of Human Services to track performance outcomes.
214 families participate in parenting programs at three
sites, made possible by a DHS grant
The generosity of donors funded camp scholarships for 42
children.
Clients numbers served by mental health clinic increased by
20% , as a result of operating on Saturdays twice a month.
One mother in supported living services (SLS, a mental
health program) became a medical records technician; a 2nd mother
is certified nurse assistant; a 3rd mother enrolled at Temple
University.
An SLS mother with 2 children moved from a shelter to a
home.
Prevention program, funded by Bucks County Drug & Alcohol
Commission, served 64 families in parenting classes & distributed 200 parent
education directories through agencies and schools.

45 children attend gym classes targeting the enhancement of gross.
Child Care Resource Developers and Lahaska Ironman grants fund
re-surfacing of playground areas to minimize trauma from falls.
More than 50 children benefit from recreational and educational trips to
local areas of interest.
30 children expanded their computer skills during summer day camp.
Tabor Children’s House served as lead agency of the Quality Child Care
Coalition of Bucks County, formed to broaden & better child care in the
county.
