Licenses and Memberships

Tabor Services Inc. operates on a nonprofit, nonpartisan basis under the direction of an independent board of trustees. Each division also receives guidance from its own board of directors. Tabor Children's Services Inc. is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Division of Children, Youth & Families, in the areas of private agency administration, adoption, foster care and independent living, and by the Pennsylvania Office of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, Division of Mental Health, for the outpatient mental health clinic. Tabor Children's House Inc. is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Day Care Division. Southern Home Services is a member agency of United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Clients in all divisions are served without regard to race, color, religious creed, handicap, ancestry, national origin, age or gender.

All services of the Tabor organization meet or exceed standards set by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children Inc. Tabor maintains membership in the following organizations: Adoption Council of Delaware Valley, Alliance for Children and Families, American Humane Association, Bucks County Association for the Education of Young Children, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Child Welfare League of America, Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth and Family Services, and Pennsylvania Foster Parent Association.. The agency participates in the Combined Federal Campaign and the United Way Donor Option Program.
